Orphan is a single line [of a paragraph] coming at the top of a page.
Widow is a single line [of a paragraph] coming at the bottom of a page.

A page should start or end with atleast two lines of a paragraph.

In a book, recto [right] pages are numbered odd {1,3,5,…} and verso [left] pages are numbered even {2,4,6,…}. It would be nice if page numbers are right aligned on Recto and left aligned for Verso. They can even be center aligned.
