“While the conference will help media professionals understand the dynamics of the industry, Expo will provide them a platform to interact with the world’s leading vendors of products and services to the newspaper and publishing industry,” he said.
Over 100 of the world’s leading suppliers to the newspaper publishing industry such Adobe, Agfa, Fuji Photo Film, Kodak, MAN Roland, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nippon, Siemens Information Systems, PPI among others are taking part in the expo and there will be a large Indian presence too.

We are very excited to be part of the expo.We will be featuring Screen PlateRite News 2000 there.
We are also excited to learn from the industry thought leaders perspective on threats and opportunities in the fast changing digital era through the conference tracks. Here is an interesting video on(by Ifra) convergence and how Newspapers can leverage convergence to their advantage.
In the conference, starting with Brand Management by THIRD UMPIRE - Ramanujam Sridhar, CEO, brand-comm there are many interesting topics including Cross Media Advertising by Dr Dietmar Schantin, Ifra Newsplex. Here is a sample:

- What will the green lobby do the newsprint? Is Waterless printing good for the environment?
- Will future Newsroom, have 3D immersive Virtual worlds like SecondLife.com? Will Machinima be yet another way to illustrate? Just like good old photos and cartoons?
- How does wikis fit in the WorkFlow?
- Will India become the hub of innovation and production of print ecosystem equipments?
Are some of the questions we want to explore in the event on the side. Apart from explaining the awesome features of Screen Plate Rite 2000 News that is.
For the print equipment oriented, the Plant Visit trip to the all new The Hindu’s Maraimalar Nagar plant will be very interesting. Rush, it is first come first served! And don’t miss the futuristic Ifra Newsplex too.
